Ochre & Co.
About us

A small firm that builds systems.

Your team builds the engine. We teach, equip, and stay close. When we leave, the capability stays.

What we are

Not an agency. Not a strategy shop. An enabler.

We teach your team how AI works, hand over the frameworks and tools we use ourselves, and stay close while they build. When we leave, the capability lives inside your business — because the people in your business are the ones who built it.

Knowledge is a building block. Building blocks create structure. Structure creates more knowledge. The business that learns how to use AI keeps getting better at using AI; the business that hires it out hits a ceiling at whatever its vendor is willing to teach it. That is the whole reason we work the way we work.

Who we are

Small on purpose.

A clear point of view, a short bench, room to do the work properly. We do not take on engagements we cannot do well.

Practitioners, not pundits. We build systems, write down what we learn, and stay close to the businesses we work with.

Why we are useful

We use what we hand over.

The frameworks we teach are the same ones we run our own firm on — writing, research, planning, the archive of what we have figured out — built into a working system we use every day.

We have also built AI products of our own, including Contractor Co-Pilot, an operating system for construction businesses. We have drawn the lines between AI work and human judgment on our own product, screen by screen.

When we tell you something works, we have used it. When we tell you to skip it, we have already paid the price for trying. The thinking lives in our writing.

How we think about it

AI cannot plug into a loose structure.

We build the engine first — knowledge in a system, rules at the gate, a named owner. AI plugs in after. Your team does the building, and the engine stays with them.
